A Table Saw is commonly employed for accurately cutting long, large, and heavy pieces of wood or other materials in straight lines. It's versatile enough to handle smaller pieces as well. The stability and durability it provides make it ideal for tackling substantial cutting tasks with ease.
After the blade reaches its full speed, the user guides the material into the blade along the desired path, ensuring hands are kept a safe distance from the blade at all times. A tool called a push stick can be used to further safeguard the user's fingers. The blade's height can also be adjusted to suit the material being used.
Certainly. Table Saws are valuable tools for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts. If you need to swiftly, accurately, and precisely cut a larger piece of wood, a table saw is an excellent choice.
A Table Saw offers more stability through its base compared to some other types of saws. This stability allows users to feed materials into the blade with precision. Table Saws are also more powerful than certain hand-operated tools you might be accustomed to. Some Evolution models even come equipped with wheels for easy portability between job sites.
Opt for a Table Saw if you're planning to make long straight cuts in sheet material or require the capability to make smaller bevel and miter cuts. A Miter Saw is better suited for making straight or angled cuts in square or rectangular workpieces up to 12 inches in size.
Anyone looking to cut sheet material and in need of a robust saw that can handle a wide range of materials should consider a Table Saw.
A Table Saw is the tool of choice for making both angled and straight cuts in a workpiece. It excels at cutting full-length flat-sided sheets and is also adept at squaring or facing off smaller workpieces. You can employ a Table Saw for a variety of interior woodwork tasks, including flooring, framing, decorative molding, crafting worktops, and building furniture.
Any power tool can be hazardous if not used correctly. Evolution Table Saws are equipped with multiple safety features, including articulating blade guards, workpiece clamps, effective dust extraction, and push sticks, all of which are standard on Evolution Table Saws.
Table Saws can be categorized based on their installation type and features. There are essentially three types: portable saws with wheels for easy transportation between workshops and job sites, fixed saws for permanent use in a workshop, and bench mount saws that can be either permanently fixed or transported to job sites.
Fixed Table Saws come in various configurations based on cost and size, with the heaviest and most expensive cabinet saws offering features like CNC-controlled sliding beds and advanced cut control.
A Table Saw consists of a horizontal metal platform with a rotating circular saw blade that can be adjusted for both cut height and angle. It's specifically designed for cutting sheet materials and other forms with at least one flat side. Table Saws are tailored for rip and cross cuts (with and across the grain, respectively). While most Table Saws are primarily used for cutting wood and plastics, Evolution Table Saws are capable of cutting mild steel and non-ferrous metals in addition to various wood and plastic materials.
Evolution Table Saws have adjustable blade height for different cut depths (full and partial), and they can tilt the blade for precise bevel cuts. They also come with miter guides and sliding bed inserts for compound cuts. Table Saws excel at making long straight cuts with high accuracy.
We do not recommend using Table Saws for cutting masonry and ceramic products. However, some customers have attempted to make these cuts with a smooth-radius diamond blade.
All Evolution Table Saws can cut mild steel and non-ferrous metals using the provided multi-material blade. For cutting aluminum, 304 stainless steel, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous metals, you should choose one of our material-specific metal cutting blades. You can use our RAGE5-S:PRO Table Saws to cut metal plate, sheet, tubing, and angled profiles.
All Evolution Table Saws can cut metal, in addition to wood, plastic, and composites, using our standard multi-material blade. We also offer a range of blades specifically designed for cutting aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, and non-ferrous metals. If you plan on cutting large quantities of a specific metal, investing in one of our specialist blades will provide the best combination of value and cut quality.
All Evolution Table Saws come equipped with our multi-material blades, which effortlessly cut through new and reclaimed wood, mild steel, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials. These blades are suitable for most users.
If you're exclusively working with new wood, our Fine Wood (60T) and General Wood (40T) blades are ideal choices. The Fine Wood blade provides a high-quality finish, perfect for cross cuts in hard and softwoods. The General Wood blade offers a balanced combination of durability and cut quality for ripping all types of wood.
All Evolution Table Saws use a 10 inch blade. This allows us to offer a maximum depth of cut suitable for nearly all cutting tasks, while still optimizing the motor for power delivery and maximum cutting torque to ensure smooth, precise cuts in all materials.
The Parallel Side Fence acts as a backstop to ensure the workpiece maintains a consistent sideways distance from the blade during a cut. This guarantees a straight and even cut. On Evolution Saws, these can be positioned on either side of the saw blade to facilitate easy material handling and accurate cuts.
Opt for a Miter Saw if you're making straight or angled cuts in square or rectangular workpieces up to 12 inches in size. If you're planning to make cuts in sheet material, then you'll need either a Circular Saw or a Table Saw.
All Evolution Table Saws come with an extensive 3-year warranty covering parts and manufacturing. Evolution also has a service center at our office to ensure your power tools continue to function flawlessly for years.
Evolution Table Saws have a short arbor that cannot accommodate the increased width of a Dado Stack. Therefore, it's not possible to use a Dado Stack with Evolution’s saws.
When selecting a blade for your saw, it's crucial to ensure it matches the correct specifications, including blade diameter, kerf width, rotation direction, arbor size, and maximum speed rating. Therefore, Table Saw blades are not universal. Evolution saws are specifically designed for use with Evolution blades only. They are not covered under warranty for use with third-party blades, which may not meet the same specifications as our blades. Using the wrong blade can damage your saw and pose a risk of injury, so please only use Evolution blades on your Evolution saw.
Evolution Table Saw blades feature tungsten carbide teeth, which can be sharpened by a specialist saw sharpener with the appropriate diamond polishing equipment. This can be cost-effective for larger blades, but for blades 10 inches and smaller, it may not be more economical than replacing the blade.
The lifespan of a blade depends on the material being cut. Harder materials tend to shorten the blade's lifespan. Evolution uses premium, Japanese-sourced carbide in our saw blades, which is better finished, tougher, and longer-lasting than more commonly used carbide grades. Cleaning the teeth of your blade, especially when cutting exterior grades of wood, helps keep it running smoothly by removing sap and resin buildup. We recommend using a cloth dampened with spray-on automotive brake cleaner to maintain your blades in pristine condition.
For making straight and deep cuts longer than 11 inches, we recommend using a Table Saw. The RAGE5-S has a platform support size suitable for handling cuts in full-size 8x4 foot sheets. For cuts below 11 inches and for complex compound bevel/miter cuts, a Miter Saw can be used.
You can achieve precise cuts on skirting board using a Table Saw, although if you're making numerous +/- angled cuts in succession, a Double Bevel Miter Saw may be more convenient.
If you're looking for the easiest way to cut laminate flooring, the multi-material blade that comes standard with all our Table Saws will do the job. However, if you want the sharpest, cleanest cut and the longest blade life possible, the Evolution Fine Wood Blades are specifically designed for ripping through wood and engineered wood materials, including all types of laminate flooring.
The RAGE5-S is the obvious choice for cutting full-size sheets of plywood or MDF. With side extensions on both sides of the table top, it will easily handle full-size sheets.
The RAGE5-S Table Saw is ideal for all construction cutting tasks, making light work of wood joists. The multi-material blade of the RAGE5-S will also easily cut through your metal stud, hanging brackets, floor and ceiling tracks. The RAGE5-S is the perfect 1st and 2nd fix saw for all trades.
We believe that Evolution Table Saws offer exceptional value for money, cutting performance, durability, and service to our customers. It's rare to outgrow the capabilities of the RAGE5-S Table Saw unless you have very exacting cutting requirements that might necessitate a much more expensive cabinet saw.
