Evolution Power Tools – Modern Slavery Statement 2026

Published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015

This statement has been published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps taken by Evolution Power Tools to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chain. Although this is a revised formal statement on modern slavery, the first being published in 1st January 2016. Evolution has always taken proactive measures to ensure that all employees and supply‑chain partners are treated fairly, ethically, and with respect.

We recognise that modern slavery remains a significant global issue. According to the Global Slavery Index, an estimated 50 million people were living in modern slavery in 2021, demonstrating that there is still substantial work to be done to eliminate exploitation worldwide. We also acknowledge that modern slavery encompasses a wide range of abuses, and we are committed to addressing all forms through strengthened policies, due diligence, and continuous improvement.

1. Organisational Structure

With over 30 years in the industrial power tool market, Evolution Power Tools has established a strong global reputation and is recognised as a market leader within the steel and fabrication industry.

Our operations include Evolution Power Tools Limited with the head office in Sheffield, UK and wholly owned subsidiaries:

  • Evolution Power Tools LLC in Chicago and Davenport Iowa, USA
  • Evolution Power Tools SAS in Carbon-Blanc, Bordeaux, France
  • Evolution Power Tools (Shanghai) Company Limited, China
  • Evolution Power Tools Polska SP. z.o.o.

The company also has:

  • Global Distribution: A network of independent distributors spanning more than 30 countries
  • Manufacturing: Tools designed in the UK and manufactured with strategic partners in China, Japan, Vietnam and Thailand

Our international footprint requires a structured and proactive approach to managing modern slavery risks.

2. Slavery & Human Trafficking Policies

While Evolution previously did not hold a standalone Modern Slavery Policy, our corporate policies have long incorporated protections to ensure fair treatment of employees and supply‑chain colleagues. These include:

  • Ethical Trading Policy
  • Human Resources Rights Policy
  • Whistleblowing Policy

These policies outline the responsibilities of the organisation, our colleagues, and our suppliers. They also set out the steps anyone within the organisation can take to raise concerns about unlawful acts or potential modern slavery. All policies are reviewed annually, signed by the Board of Directors, and issued to all current and future employees.

3. Higher‑Risk Areas

According to 2021 Global Estimates of Modern Slavery approximately 29.3 million people were living in modern slavery in the Asia Pacific regions which includes South-East Asia. By virtue of our manufacturing partners being concentrated in South East Asia we recognise the higher‑risk this places on our supply chain. Consequently, we give particular attention to monitoring, auditing, and strengthening controls within this part of our supply chain.

4. Due Diligence

Having identified higher‑risk areas, we conduct structured due diligence to understand potential instances of modern slavery and assess whether sufficient controls are in place.

Our approach includes:

  • Mandatory due‑diligence checks for all current and future suppliers
  • Biennial ethical audits conducted by recognised third‑party specialists
  • Vendor assessment questionnaires
  • Site visits
  • Individual and group employee interviews

These audits assess manufacturers against key ethical principles, including:

  • Fair remuneration
  • Working hours
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Child labour
  • Business ethics

If any modern slavery practices are identified, we take appropriate investigative and remedial action. High‑risk suppliers are subject to more frequent audits to ensure improvements are implemented and sustained.

5. Training

Raising awareness of modern slavery is a key focus for Evolution. To strengthen our internal capability, we have introduced a mandatory annual training module covering:

  • How to identify potential indicators of modern slavery
  • How to report concerns
  • The responsibilities of employees and managers
  • The role of suppliers in maintaining ethical standards

This training ensures colleagues are equipped with the knowledge to recognise and escalate concerns appropriately.

6. Measures of Effectiveness

We understand that modern slavery is an ongoing issue and are committed to measuring our effectiveness regularly. Our monitoring includes:

  • Completion rates for employee modern slavery training
  • Ethical audit results from our manufacturing partners
  • Remedial actions taken and verified
  • Supplier compliance with our ethical standards

We will continue to work closely with our suppliers to implement necessary control measures and strengthen protections across our supply chain.

7. Responsibility

The Chief Executive Officer has lead responsibility for implementing our ethical standards within Evolution. However, it is the responsibility of all Evolution employees to adhere to and uphold our ethical standards, policies, and procedures.

Reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors on 27th March 2026 following the financial year end on 31st December 2025.
