Evolution’s new Disc Cutters are entirely redesigned from the ground up. They feature new motors, drivetrains, casings, and blades. While they maintain the ease of use, environmentally friendly electric power, and good value for money of the older models, they incorporate lessons learned from a decade of experience in designing and supporting the older models in the market.

With the blade guard in the optimum position angled to cover as much of the exposed upper side of the blade as possible, the dust extraction port can be very effective with a good quality vacuum. The deeper the cut the more effective it is.  

Water dust suppression is the use of water to manage high levels of dust. It dampens the air to reduce dust particles in the environment and to prevent you from breathing in large quantities. Water suppression is also an advantage when using a disc cutter, as it cools the blade and extends the lifespan of both the blade and the saw.

Dust suppression is a legal requirement on construction sites for health and safety compliance due to harmful dust particles in masonry materials such as silica dust.

The R260DCT-Li, R300DCT+ and the R350DCT models all feature water suppression.

Absolutely yes, you can use dust extraction and water suppression simultaneously, with our R15VAC Wet N Dry vacuum and other similar systems you’ll get the best of both worlds.

Both the R350DCT and the cordless battery-powered R260DCT-Li feature our new automatic water feed valve for the most efficient dust suppression. The automatic valve lets the water flow as soon as the blade starts spinning and cuts the water off when you release the power. There's also an independent flow rate control valve, so you can 'set and forget', meaning you can concentrate on your cuts.

The Evolution R300DCT+ includes dual-sided water-fed dust suppression, but not our automatic on/off feature.

All Evolution Disc Cutters that provide water dust suppression connect to a hose or pressurised bottle and use brass fittings for durability.

The premium and General-purpose diamond blades differ in the quantity of diamond that is used in their cutting surfaces. Both blades are designed for cutting a wide range of masonry materials, the Premium Blades contain 30% more diamond, this allows them to cut faster, last longer and be more suitable for harder materials, engineering bricks, higher quartz content stone etc.

The R230DCT and R255DCT models both use a 7/8-inch Arbor. The R300DCT & R300DCT+ models use a 1-Inch Arbor.

The R230DCT is our entry level disc cutter, perfect for DIY or light trade use. With a 2000W motor and 90mm cutting depth the R230DCT will easily cut a brick when laid flat.
All our other disc cutters will cut through a brick and block in one pass on the longest side. This speeds up your workflow and means no turning of brick or blocks.

All our other disc cutters with a 102mm depth of cut will easily cut through a typical UK cavity wall, making it ideal for opening up walls for fitting new windows and doors.

The General Purpose and Premium Diamond blades are both ideal for cutting bricks. The Premium Diamond blade with its higher diamond content will be better for cutting harder materials such as engineering brick?

The Heavy-Duty multi-material Demolition blade is specifically designed to cut masonry, woodwork, rebar reinforced slab and metals. This blade features a unique multi-material cutting compound that works to quickly cut through the widest range of construction materials.

Unlike petrol disc cutters, electric and battery-powered saws require minimal servicing. The main consumable is the carbon brushes, which are easily replaceable by the user.
As with all power tools proper care and maintenance of your disc cutter is crucial for ensuring its longevity, efficiency, and safe operation:

1. Inspect before each use. Check the blade for damage like cracks or chips and replace it if necessary. Ensure the arbour is clean to prevent wobbling.
2. Clean after use: Remove dust and debris to prevent overheating. Use a brush or air to clean ventilation slots. Clean the cutter body with a suitable cleaner to remove residue and prevent rust.
3. Store correctly in a dry, frost-free location. Avoid storing in extreme temperatures.

The R260DCT-Li with our best ever EvoMax diamond blade is our flagship battery-powered cordless disc cutter. Built for trade and serious DIY, with an ultra-thin blade and automatic water suppression it's the perfect partner for the most diverse landscape projects.

When cutting the correct procedure is to gently feed the blade of the saw into the material and let its abrasive action do the work with only gentle pressure applied.
